About Bally

Bally was founded by Carl Franz Bally in Schönenwerd, Switzerland, in 1851 and built its reputation on shoemaking. Its signature shoe is the Scribe, a men's formal style introduced in 1951 and still made by hand in Switzerland.

It is a Swiss luxury house with a quieter profile than the big Italian and French names. Buyers who know leather goods recognize the red-and-white Bally Stripe, and its sunglasses bring the name in at a lower entry price.
